Iris’s creativity and sense for aesthetics and design were already evident at a very young age. As a result she chose to study at Cibap, College for Decorative Arts. After graduation Iris wanted to pursue product development and she was selected for the Design Academy Eindhoven.
She has a strong drive for the creation of useful products, which will be used with pleasure. Therefore she focused her design studies around two medical products: a surgical instrument and a child seat to be mounted on wheelchairs.
She graduated with honours. She started working at Pemstar and Indes as a designer, senior designer and manager of the design team. Several of her product designs have received awards.
In 2005 she joined Panton, in 2009 she became partner
