Rules to prevent infection
To ensure the safety of the patient and (nursing)staff in a demanding environment such as a surgery unit, strict infection prevention rules are kept. These rules are necessary to prevent contagion. Panton developed several tools for the Vereniging Veilige Curative Zorg ( VVCZ – Association for Safe Curative Care). These tools clarify the applicable rules and help staff members comply with them.
Creating clarity
Within the surgery unit different infection prevention zones have been defined. The infection prevention rules differ per zone and per situation. In order to help visitors and medical staff to work safely according to these rules we developed various tools. These tools clearly show which rules and regulations are apply in which zone and offer the required protective means where they are needed.
